Healthy Beginnings

Parenting, child development, nutritionHealthy Beginnings Portage County helps build strong families by providing intensive, long-term home visitation. Researched based education is provided to first time parents on family relationships, parenting, child development, nutrition, and community resources. Educators conduct regular screenings and evaluations. Families are referred to other community resources when needed.

Healthy Beginnings-Portage County is provided through the cooperative efforts of:

  • Right From the Start Coalition
  • Saint Michael’s Hospital
  • University of Wisconsin-Portage County
  • Wisconsin Extension Nutrition Education Program
  • Portage County Board of Supervisors
